Aleen Carey

After graduating from Western Albemarle here in the Charlottesville area, Aleen went on to earn a BA from James Madison University in modern foreign languages. She taught high school Spanish for a DECADE before arriving at Teachstone.

When not at work, Aleen can be found serving as the Vice Chair of City Schoolyard Garden. She also is an avid traveler, loves completing Washington Post crossword puzzles in pen and supporting small businesses by sampling local Virginia wine. You may even find her doing the latter two hobbies simultaneously.
