As we close out 2013, we could dwell on all that is not right with the world, but let’s not. Instead, let’s look at what is going right in the field of education and the important role we play in it.
2014 holds so much promise for our children, in part because of the bipartisan support we've seen in 2013 for universal pre-K and early education initiatives. As this past year has proven—and as New America underscores in their roundup of 2013's biggest stories in education—our hard work is paying off!
Let’s celebrate and keep on going. There is so much to hope for in this upcoming year. Make one of your New Year’s resolutions to support just one teacher, who will support at least one child, who will then impact our whole world.
Keep at it. Don’t give up. Our children are worth it!
