    Britney Leavelle, CLASS Specialist, Mini University

    Britney Leavelle has 10 years of professional experience working with children. She is a certified CLASS observer for Preschool, Toddler and Infant age levels. Britney completes CLASS observations to assess the quality of Teacher and child interactions. She coaches teachers on areas of growth based on observation data and uses the myTeachstone online system providing access to videos and other resources that gives teachers a deeper understanding of CLASS. This system also allows collaboration between teachers and Britney to ensure the quality of interactions with the children we serve. You can reach Britney at bleavelle@miniuniversity.net

    Julie Thorner, President, Mini University

    30 years ago, Julie founded Mini University to provide the highest quality child care and preschool in Dayton, Ohio.  Her focus has always been on Leadership, Quality and Team, and she is passionate about keeping abreast of the latest research to improve quality and outcomes for children.  All Mini University programs are employer-sponsored, NAEYC Accredited, 5 star (Ohio’s highest QRIS rating) and three of the five centers are on university campuses.  Mini University serves over 600 children and 125 teaching staff, and CLASS has been used for 10 years.  Julie received her B.A. in Music from the University of Colorado and her M.A. in Early Childhood Education from Wright State University.  She has been excited to see the evolution of the CLASS resources and the creation of myTeachstone, and she is thrilled about the ease of use for her Teachers and Leaders and the impact this makes for the children served.
