The Teachstone Team is constantly striving to develop new, innovative products and discovering ways to improve our current materials. We recently focused our efforts of improving the suite of Pre-K CLASS training materials, including Introduction and Observation Trainings and the Train-the-Trainer program.

This means that these pre-K trainings now feature brand-spankin’ new materials! This applies to both Teachstone and affiliate trainings.

How did we do it?

  • We gathered feedback from our staff and affiliate trainers
  • We went to work revising, reviewing, copyediting, formatting, and all-around improving
  • We delivered beta tests and gathered feedback
  • We went back to work applying beta feedback and finishing touches

We did not make any changes to the Pre-K CLASS Manual, scoring procedures, or training videos; however, we made quite a few changes to other materials. The improvements are too numerous to name, but here are a few:

  • Updated research slides
  • New “CLASS Resources” section
  • Improved agendas and sequencing
  • Half- and full-day Intro options
  • New Classroom Organization domain activity (observation training only)
  • More in-depth coding slides (observation training only)
  • More concise justifications (observation training only)
