We are continuing our monthly blog post series, Ramblings from the Road," where one of our staff trainers (AKA Carmen C. Virginia) shares her thoughts and insights as she travels around the country spreading the good news about the CLASS. Her motto? Have CLASS, will travel! We hope you enjoy these posts.

Hey Affiliate Folks!

I got back late last night and am sitting in my living room in my comfy pants, sipping coffee while I write this. In my training this week I had a few participants really questioning one of the Master Code Justifications. Although I was eventually able to adequately answer their questions, I wasn’t exactly pleased with how long it took me to get to a resolution. My explanation felt awkward, unrefined, and (to me) lacked the confidence I usually like to bring to the discussion. So this morning I watched that troublesome video again. I watched the specific section the participants questioned over and over – half a dozen times, taking notes, adding to my notes, building my evidence. Getting to know every nuance of the section built my confidence in the Master Code Justification, and my ability to openly discuss that particular video with participants. I could see exactly why the codes were written the way they were. Reviewing that 4 or 5-minute chunk added greatly to my understanding of the codes. Concentrating my focus on specific sections of the videos, rather than the videos in their entirety, provided me with the ability to discuss both of these videos with more depth, clarity, and confidence the next time I am out on the road!

P.S. I just trained on this age level again this week, and when the participants started to question that troublesome bit again, I knew just what evidence to point out to help them better understand the Master Code Justifications and the indicator of concern. It showed! They were able to more accurately code that specific indicator in following videos (as evidenced by their exclamations of success)!
