Look For


 As you watch this video, look for how the trainer:

  • Clearly articulates proper coding practices
  • Directs participants to the CLASS Manual

The trainer also:

  • Reviews previous material to ensure understanding
  • Checks in with participants to gauge understanding
  • Asks participants to explain their thinking
  • Makes eye contact with participants
  • Acknowledges an area of possible misunderstanding

Practice
With a partner or in the mirror, practice explaining in your own words what highly effective regard looks like in the classroom. Then practice explaining what less effective regard looks like. Try to include as many varied, real-life, and relatable examples as you can.
