Scenario: A teacher reads children a book about dinosaurs. She pauses throughout the story to ask questions, such as “What color is the stegosaurus?” and “Is the baby dino happy or sad?” Children enthusiastically respond. The teacher then asks, “What do you think will happen to the baby dino?” Two children offer brief responses, such as “He will be lost!” and “He’s going to be sad!" The teacher responds, “You think so?” and continues the story.
