We are excited to have Sara Beach guest blog for us today. As a former Teachstone Staff Trainer, she frequently presented on topics such as Helping Teachers with the Instructional Supports, through active, adult-learning approaches. She has been an Infant-toddler teacher, center director, education specialist, coach-mentor, and early childhood college instructor, and her highest honor has been supporting teachers.
As we focus this holiday on giving thanks, we at Teachstone have so much to be thankful for.
We’re thankful for our founders and their mission. Dean of the Curry School of Education and Novartis Research Professor at the University of Virginia, Bob Pianta, and Research Associate, Professor Bridget Hamre, continually lead and inspire all of the work that we do. We are grateful for their incredible work and the new knowledge they impart in the field of education. Their progressive work is making a difference in the lives of students, not only in the U.S. but across the globe. As a staff, we are proud to work together toward this most important mission of applying what works—effective teacher-student interactions—to what matters: improving student outcomes.
We’re thankful for each other! Our Teachstone staff is comprised of gifted, creative, strong minds, who are passionate about our work—both in-house and in the field—and team up to provide CLASS™ programs and products. Cross-departmental teamwork is what makes our company successful, and we focus on including a broad spectrum of ideas, perspectives, and talents in everything we do! We're a diverse group of people, united by a common mission to make high-quality education the experience of every child.
We’re thankful for you! If you’re reading this blog, chances are you are an educator. And that makes you the most important person in this entire equation. Not only do we appreciate the way you have embraced the CLASS system and made interactions the most important factors to learn about, measure, and continually improve, but we feel honored to be on this journey with you. Most of all, we’re indebted to you for the work that you do on behalf of our infants and toddlers in child care, family child care, and Early Head Start; pre-K students across the country; elementary and secondary students; pre-service teachers; and those engaging in professional development.
