FAQs about the InterAct CLASS Summit


InterAct Update: COVID-19

Q: Are you going to cancel the InterAct CLASS Summit? 
A:  As concerns around Coronavirus (COVID-19) increase, we are taking steps to support safe environments for our clients and the children they serve by creating alternative ways to provide training and professional development. Teachstone has decided to transition the 2020 InterAct CLASS Summit to a virtual event in order to continue to support your CLASS work, despite social distancing and limited travel abilities. This includes the workshops and regional training days scheduled for April 19–24 in San Diego, CA. 

Q:  I wasn't able to attend the in-person summit, but would like to attend the virtual summit. Can I? 
A: Yes! We're excited that the shift to a virtual conference now makes it possible for us to expand the reach of the Summit. We encourage you to invite your colleagues to join! You can register now for $150. 

Q: If I was already registered, what are my options?
A: You have three!
Option 1: Virtual Conference + Online Learning 
With your InterAct registration, you will now have access to the new virtual conference. In addition, we are including one (1) enrollment for our new CLASS Primer for Leaders online training and ten (10) enrollments for our upcoming Pre-K CLASS Primer for Teachers online training, available later this spring. This bundle will allow you to continue your CLASS work even under circumstances where face-to-face interactions might be challenging. 

Option 2: Virtual Conference Only
If you’d prefer to attend only the virtual InterAct Summit at a significantly reduced price of $150, you can reach out to our customer support team to transfer your registration and process a partial refund. We can also help you register your colleagues for this event or find other ways to bring online learning to your community during this time.

Option 3: Full Refund
If you’re unable to attend the virtual conference or need to cancel for any other reason, please contact us by April 13, 2020. We will honor a full refund.

Q: What about the workshop day?
A:  After surveying the workshop attendees, we have decided to cancel our workshop day at this time. Our presenters were excited to share a half day with you and are hoping to offer a comparable virtual experience soon. In the meantime, please let us know which of the following options you’d like:

  1. Transfer your registration to InterAct Now seats. We’re offering a virtual CLASS Summit on April 20-21, 2020 for $150 per person. We’d love to help you get registered or add some of your colleagues. 
  2. Explore other virtual trainings we’re offering and use your workshop registration as a credit toward a future virtual training. 
  3. If you are unable to attend a virtual training or need to cancel for another reason, please contact us by April 13, 2020. We will honor a full refund.

Q: When will the virtual conference be? 
A: The virtual InterAct CLASS Summit will take place over the same April 20–21 timeframe, with the morning keynote kicking off the conference Monday, April 20 at 11am EST. A mix of breakout sessions, keynotes, networking opportunities, and Q & A time with CLASS specialists will continue until 5pm EST. Tuesday. Q: I'm not available to participate in the full virtual conference day but would like to watch the sessions I miss. Will they be recorded? 
A: Yes! This is one of the new possibilities of the virtual format that we're most excited about! We will make available to all Summit registrants access to all sessions following the real-time event. This means you could be in one breakout session and still view the other sessions later. This also means that if you have to step away from the conference for a moment, you can be sure you won't miss anything.  

Q: Do I need any special technology to participate? 
A: No. All you will need is internet access. All registrants will receive a special links to sessions as we get closer to April 20.
